Bird Watching

The coastal walks and the local wildlife close by also provide opportunity for bird watching and spectacular photography. The RSPB site at Burgar Hill is within a short walking distance, you could say it’s just behind the house. We regularly see short-eared owls and the occassional hen harrier just outside the house. red throated divers and corncrake are to be found in this area.

Short-eared Owls & Hen Harriers

We have had regular sitings of the short-eared owls in the vicinity of the house. Hen harriers are also observed on a less frequent occurence. We currently have oyster catchers nesting in the locality.
